FAQ’s

What is the MCFA?

The MCFA is a voluntary organization

The Mineral County Fairgrounds site, donated by John Parker, has a unique location:  it is the first thing you see when you approach the historic town of Creede and as such it has the potential to become an iconic signature for the town. If you are not stopping, just driving through on the Silver Thread Scenic Highway, the fairgrounds site and the Willow Creek Conservation Area become one in an emerald necklace of valleys stretching up the Rio Grande. The MCFA is committed to providing facility which is at once a signature for Creede and a fitting ‘jewel’ in the necklace.
