JULY 8: Eat Dessert First! – Fairgrounds Public Update
The Mineral County Fairgrounds Association and the Upper Rio Grande Events and Recreation Complex host an Inform and Inspire public update at the Creede Community Church. On July 8th, 4 to 6pm, meet the Fairgrounds’ architects (51% Studios of London) to review and share input on the conceptual designs of the RECREATION COMPLEX. Don’t miss a great Creede potluck of desserts and refreshments, and the opportunity to share your ideas about this exciting community recreation park.
We are excited to have reached another landmark of this wide reaching community project, the completion of the initial design phase. Your input will be especially valuable at this point in the process. Reflecting the Community Survey and ongoing feedback, the architects will present design concepts for the appearance of the buildings, internal circulation and specific uses the spaces within. Currently being developed are plans for three buildings: indoor events arena, community recreation health and fitness center with swimming pool, and 4-H livestock/maintenance building.
You have generously supported the fairgrounds/recreation complex in the past with donations and feedback. We are excited to share with you the latest developments and hear your thoughts as we move forward toward construction.

JULY 10: 4-H County Fair
Entries will be accepted 9:00-10:30 on Saturday in the Activities Tent Judging will take place @ 10:30
Arts, Home Crafts, anything you have made by hand may be entered: Baking, Canning, Sewing, Quilts, Jewelry, woodwork, pottery…….
